Solving it will take time, if I ever do. What frustrates me is not the challenge of the puzzle, but of the difficulty of keeping any one of the four discs from moving while moving an adjacent disc. If the thing was thicker, that might have helped. Or had only one rotation knob instead of two. I expect I'll put this away and give it to someone with more patience next Christmas--a gift that may not be a gift at all!

This puzzle arrived safely a few days ago, and I have to say, I think it is a really interesting and beautiful design. You have to move the four discs around so that no white circles are visible. This is one of those puzzles that is much harder than it looks at first. I love the astrolabe/compass/sundial aspect of this puzzle. The wood is of good quality and all the lettering and designs are very neat and well placed, nothing seems out of place at all. I like that I don't have to use force to turn the discs. A very interesting puzzle.
