Product Info
The Cluebox is an interactive, manually assembled wooden box with various puzzles which have to be solved one after the other in order to open the box. Very much like an Escape Room in a handy format! The solution to each and every puzzle is based not on randomness, but only on logical decisions. It is a unique and intriguing challenge. It's difficult to solve, satisfying to hold, and beautiful to display. Cambridge Labyrinth is the fifth in the series of challenging puzzle boxes!
The Story:
In the early 19th century the situation around the scientific developments in the UK was raising strong concerns. “Science is all but dead in England… perhaps deadest of all at our Universities," - English journalists wrote.
And then it changed - provincial Philosophical Societies started blossoming across the United Kingdom. They offered an opportunity for people to meet and listen to talks on the latest discoveries and inventions.
William Whewell, a Cambridge University historian and philosopher, became one of the founders of Cambridge Philosophical Society in 1819. This Society ultimately transformed major English universities into the world-leading centers of scientific research we know today. The term "scientist" had not even existed until William Whewell coined it in 1833.
According to several reliable sources, there was only one condition to become a member of the Philosophical Society – applicants had to pass the entrance challenge by opening the mechanical box “Cambridge Labyrinth” invented by scientist William Whewell.
Now you have an opportunity to face the challenge which used to be the first step for many inventors into the world of science and engineering!
The cluebox is resettable and is precisely cut from high quality birch wood using the finest laser technology.

Wow, SO cool! Definitely my favorite of the Cluebox series. I love the creative and fun marble puzzles.
Ok, let me start by saying I have all 5 of the clue-boxes from IDVenture. Solved them all and absolutely love the other 4! This one is a total failure. Due to imprecise manufacture I (for the 1st time) was driven towards the hints. Even with that help, the small steel ball simply did not have enough space to pass through a way too narrow corridor. The hint suggests "to shake the box if the steel ball was stuck". Believe me, I used all the necessary force, to a point I was worried the box would break. The steel ball is still stuck. 1 star is me being generous for a puzzle that can't be solved. I understand the wood can expand. But I never had such a bad experience with their product before. I won't recommend this product at all.
This is a really neat puzzle and quite different from the other Clueboxes. A couple of the puzzles were quite tricky and I'm sad to say that I caved and looked up a couple of hints because I just wasn't getting anywhere. I regret that now, but I'm not sure if I would ever have figured them out otherwise. Between Cambridge and Camelot, I'd say I enjoyed Camelot better because I was able to figure it out on my own. But, I'm really glad to have experienced this one as well!
One VERY good Clue Box with this steel ball to move around i liked this Idventure Box i Buyed From Puzzle Master, real fast , full star nicely done Cluebox π
