Triangle Cube 3

The Triangle 3 is another packing puzzle brought to you by PELIKAN.  A 3x3x3 cube shape is required but this time only a small triangular face needs to be filled diagonally opposite each other in the frame. The pieces of this design by Osanori Yamamoto were generally smaller and there are 2 triangular openings on either side of the box.  With some clever planning you can figure out the 'out of the box' assembly, and then you will find that a rotational move is needed. That part of the solution is VERY clever – the last part of the assembly can be done just by rotating the puzzle in your hands and allowing gravity to move the pieces into place.
