The Castel puzzle is designed by Yavuz Demirhan and has been produced in metal exclusively for Puzzle Master. This 3 piece burr puzzle is more difficult than it may first appear. There are 26 moves required to free the first piece! As with most puzzles of this type, disassembly is often the easiest part. Reassembling the pieces can be an even greater challenge!
This puzzle is part of a series of high quality metal puzzles that are manufactured in Canada in low number production runs and brought to you by Puzzle Master. Made of anodized aluminum, it has been produced with a textured surface, which is creates a great feel in the hands, and is more resistant to scratching. Comes packaged in a Puzzle Master branded felt bag.
Difficulty: 29 Moves (26.3) The brackets indicate the breakdown of moves to free each piece sequentially.

The puzzle part of this puzzle is not bad.
However, even though it is made of metal and requires precise alignment, it is extremely unstable and the pieces slant and rotate on their own, which is very frustrating.
I feel as if I paid 99.99 CAD and bought not a puzzle but stress itself.
The puzzle part is not bad, so this unstable construction is very regrettable.

Really neat design--appearance, movements of the pieces, process of solving. The pieces have a nice heft to them, and for some reason the dimensions of everything seem quite pleasant. Playing with it at first, it seemed like a maze, and daunting, but over several days it became easier to navigate through it. It's expensive by my standards, but I don't regret the purchase. I've felt uneasy about the pieces possibly scratching each other, but so far nothing significant has happened.
