Due to tremendous growth in the Renaissance, building space was expensive in European cities such as Gent, Bruges and Amsterdam. Cramped in between other buildings, showing off wealth was limited mostly to the facades. Tiny entrance doors became a symbol of humility.
This was our inspiration to create Canal House. Seven polyominoes need to be packed in a narrow space through a small door. Besides ingenuity and spatial insight, the solution requires patience and dexterity. In difficulty we give Canal House four stars.
