The Multigrain Burr was part of the Edward Hordern IPP Puzzle Exchange - Ottawa, Canada (August 2015). Presented by Jerry Slocum and designed by the renowned Stewart T. Coffin, this puzzle was crafted by Mr. Puzzle. Only 283 units were produced.
The Challenge
Disassemble the puzzle, mix up the pieces, and then reassemble them into a symmetrical pyramid shape. For an added challenge, wait a while before attempting to reassemble it. The puzzle comes pre-assembled, and while separating the pieces requires no force, reassembling them is a significant challenge.
A Symmetrical Enigma
Despite its symmetrical shape, visualizing the solution is extremely difficult, even with a reference photo. This puzzle is an extension of Stewart Coffin's famous "Three Piece Block" puzzle and is equally, if not more, challenging.
Craftsmanship and Solution
The puzzle is made from beautiful Papua New Guinean Rosewood and comes with a printed solution featuring step-by-step photos to guide you through the assembly process.
