From Ukrainian designer Serhiy Grabarchuk, the objective is to separate and then reassemble the three pieces. Some Hanayama puzzles are near impossible for me, even after I know the solution. However, this one is very satisfying. I bought it because I really liked the look of it. I could not get it back together, but my son-in-law DID! So, I sat down again and hammered my way through it, and finally solved it. Sadly, the next week, I was unable to assemble it again. However, the next day I picked it up and put it right back together. So, I don't know what my issue is, but this puzzle makes it very fun, and it looks great once it's together.
This puzzle is fun to play with. I find it difficult than Cast Ring and Ring II, which follow the same idea I guess. I like how it looks when solved - like a real expensive coaster. It requires some logic and dexterity to solve.
I received this as a birthday present years ago. At the time I was far too young, and very confused. But today I picked it up and started tinkering with it as I read this webpage, and I solved it! Brilliant puzzle - very beautiful. I recommend it!
I really like this one. I only have about 4 or 5 of these puzzles, but the coaster is my favorite. It took me almost a year to solve (of course, I never worked on it for very long at a time, got too frustrated), but now I can get it either in 10 seconds or with my eyes closed. It's so beautiful when completed, and frustrating if you don't know the trick when apart.
This is the first Hanayama I ever tried and now i own about 20 of them, so yes I like the coaster. The solve is challenging enough and it's aesthetic in the solved state.
This one is beautiful in its look and has an intriguing effect.Easy to get apart but, difficult to put back together. Highly recommended!!
Disassembly is easy, in fact mine tends to fall apart a little too easily. Assembly is another matter and quite tricky. Nicely made.
This puzzle was a joy. It was small and flat, so I could carry it in my pocket or purse and pull it out any time I was waiting anywhere. I would also rate it an 8 in difficulty; it certainly took some tinkering. Highly recommended!
